The roots of the Al-Mansoob extend back to the 1950's, but was formally established at the time of unity between the two Yemen's, in 1990. It has evolved since then into a  well organized company with highly trained staff who provide a high level of service and can respond rapidly, but economically, to meet the needs of our clients.

Our strategy is to continue to care for customer needs, and to remain firmly focused on the company's' principles of quality, trust and service which have been the hallmark of our success to date and have enabled us to achieve its present market position.

This success is firmly grounded in the competence of the staff, whose experience of working in the port environment ranges between seven and thirty years. This knowledge has been gained at the Port of Aden, with the National Shipping Company; the sole agent in Aden from 1968 to 1992; or at the Port of Hodeidah.

We are the only company in Yemen to have joined the prestigious International Ship Suppliers Association (ISSA). Our reputation for quality and keen pricing has resulted in contracts to supply naval vessels from America, Britain, France, Germany, Norway and Poland calling at Aden.

We follow the ISSA catalogues in selecting goods and making up quotations for customers, sourcing our supplies from Dubai, Italy, Denmark and other countries, selected on the basis of quality and price. Companies which have come to trust Al-Mansoob to meet their needs include the Abu Dhabi Tanker Company, Andriaky Shipping Company, Dynacom, Ethiopian Shipping Lines, European Navigation Line, Petro Tanker, Teekay Shipping (Canada), SHELL marine lubricants, and UniService Chemicals.

Around twenty passenger ships call at Aden each year and almost all of these are supplied by our company. We have developed close relationships with a large number of major European ship catering companies providing supplies to cruise vessels calling at Aden, and supply vessels for which they hold contracts at their request.

Effectively, Al-Mansoob for Ship Supplying and General Trade now handles over 60% of the ship supply business at Aden.
